As promised, I will be trialling and reviewing bridal products during the lead up to my own big day – and hopefully I can find the perfect finishing touches in the process!
Some weeks ago I reviewed the Serenity basque from Panache – click here for the review. And today I will be showing you it’s strapless sister, also in a 36H/2XL.
Just like the basque, this set came with a gorgeous gem detail on the central gore, the knickers and the suspender belt – a replica of the jewellery that the designer Debbie wore on her wedding day. The set is minimalistic without being boring, but detailed enough to still be classic and beautiful.
As with the baasque, the band was extremely firm, and the cups came up slightly small. I think that a 38H or maybe even HH would be a better fit for me in this in terms of comfort and appearance. However, the lift and support I get in a 36H is extremely good.
The matching 2XL briefs could do with a little more booty coverage, but the suspender belt is spot on and helps disguise the slight digging in. It comes with four straps, and to those I attached some stockings from The Big Tights Company.
As with the basque, I feel that this bra would really benefit from a structured dress if you are a similar size to me. It does a great job of lifting and shaping my bust but it might need a little persuasion to stay in place all day!
